Biography
Richard Fleisher is an attorney in the law firm of Karlin, Fleisher & Falkenberg, LLC. He has been an active trial lawyer for over 40 years. A native Chicagoan, he has obtained jury verdicts that were, at various times, Illinois records for widows, octogenarians and Federal Employee Liability Act (FELA) railroad workers.
Mr. Fleisher has personally argued cases in the Illinois Appellate Court, Illinois Supreme Court, U. S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He handled a landmark case involving jurisdiction and service of out-of-state defendants in the State of Illinois and has made law regarding the Federal Employees Liability Act. He has litigated all types of personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice and nursing home cases. He has handled explosion cases with awards as high as $18,000,000. Along with firm partner Charles V. Falkenberg, III, Mr. Fleisher recently obtained an award for a plaintiff in a construction site accident in the amount of $17,200,000.
